Privacy and cookies
Last updated: 12 October 2026
The short version: this website does not use cookies, does not track you and does not ask for any personal details. Orders are placed on Etsy.
Who we are
This website, mylasoaps.com, is run by Myla Soaps, an independent handmade candle maker based in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland, UK. We do not have a shop or premises open to visitors.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies and does not use similar technologies such as tracking pixels, browser storage or analytics. Because no optional cookies are used, you will not see a cookie banner here.
If we ever add optional cookies, for example to understand how visitors use the site, we will update this page and ask for your consent before any optional cookies are set.
Information we collect
We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details on this website. There are no forms, accounts or newsletter sign-ups.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider, IONOS, automatically processes basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure. These server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period and are not used to identify or profile visitors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
All fonts, images and code on this site are served from our own web space. The pages do not load content from other companies' servers.
Buying on Etsy
When you choose Buy on Etsy, or visit our Etsy shop, you leave this website. Your order, payment, delivery details and any messages to us are handled on Etsy, under Etsy’s privacy policy ↗. We see the order and delivery details Etsy shares with sellers so that we can make and send your candle.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to how it is used. To make a request or ask a question, please contact us through our Etsy shop ↗.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk ↗.
Changes to this page
We will update this page if anything changes, and show the date of the latest update at the top.
